A note from Jon

Jon wrote this message to me & you (our blog readers)...in response to my "last day together" blog. His thoughts are as follows:

Hey sweetheart...You are doing a great job with the blog. I just wanted to respond to this one...well one, because I've never responded to anything on the blog before, and two, I had a couple of notes to make on this one. First and most important...in the first paragraph, 3rd to last sentence...I am no soldier, haha. I knew what you meant. And to those of you whole read this blog and wondered about Margot and I's communication...well, here I am...haha. Well at least for a couple of days, communication is pretty easy as I am on a large and well established FOB. In the next couple of days I'll be heading out to a slightly more remote area, but really there isn't too much roughing it here in Iraq anymore...we have been here for quite some years now. Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you for your prayers, especially for Margot...as I feel like this time is harder on the wives and families than on my men and I. She is a very strong woman and I am very blessed to have her, but I thank you for encouraging her though this all. Thanks again, and don't forget, I am no soldier;)-LT BASSUSMC
